Every day there were several of these very large barges that were pushed back and forth on the river next to our campground.

The pedal for our toilet broke off! PsyDoug was able to kind of get it back on enough for the grown ups to use it for the next several days while he figured out repairs.

Florida pool time with palm trees in the background. You can also see the bridge next to the campground.

Everyone enjoyed playing at the beach. It was just warm enough to play in the surf but not really go in all the way. ChimSta still needs to cover up.

The tide was getting higher. The areas the kids were playing in didn’t get wet when they first started, but the water was getting pretty close by the time we were ready to leave.

A big heron flew in and landed right in the middle of our paly area. Just stood there for a while watching us before it flew away.

Our little tree lived behind the ladder next to the kitchen cabinet this year. We added a few more decorations as we got closer to Christmas.

Some fishermen had just come in with their catch for the day and let Munchlax pick one up. He thought they were pretty gross.

The seagulls were everywhere! My friend’s wife warned us not to feed the birds because they would just swarm and make a mess. She works at a resort and does not have good experiences with the birds.

I got to meet up with one of my classmates from high school. He has recently retired from the Navy as a diver.

We are technically in the Gulf while on our boat tour. Looking back at the bridge and skyline for Destin, FL.

Down below in the glass bottom boat. There are windows on the sides that you are supposed to be able to see out of. The water was too cloudy this time of year, so we didn’t see anything from there.

We got to spot several dolphins on our boat tour. The locals do not like dolphins because they scare away the fish.
