Travel Week #19 Year #2 (11/07-11/13) Natchitoches, LA (pronounce Nack-a-tish)
Grand Ecore is our favorite campground so far! We love the peace and quiet and all the space. We had been here for last Easter and happy to have a chance to return.
A beautiful place to start our Astronomy unit
The pecans were ripe and fall from the trees, so the kids took time to collect several buckets full. Then, Squirtle and Munchlax took time to shell them and sit at the end out our site to sell them by the quart bag. They made $25!
Ended our week with a trip to Fort St. Jean Baptiste.

Fort St Jean Baptiste
Touring Fort St Jean Baptiste in Natchitoches. This is the woodworking area.
Munchlax tripped over the leg of the bench and fell flat on his face. I thought he was laughing and we were going to draw a chalk outline around him, but he wasn’t too happy about it.
