Travel Week #24 Year #2 (12/12-12/18) Pensacola, FL
A quiet day catching up and organizing in the basement discovered a water leak! PsyDoug had to take his plumbing skills (and supplies) just learned from replacing the toilet to replace pipes that had rotted/failed. Even though it was inconvenient and frustrating, so VERY thankful that we discovered this before any major water damage happened, early enough to still be able to get to the store before it closed for one more part, and after learning how to do RV plumbing. It’s like God had the timing all figured out
The beginning of two weeks of almost daily tantrums (so glad that this is not a common occurrence any more!).
Finishing up the Christmas shopping and organizing all the gifts.
One more trip to the pool.
Travel day back to MS.

Our entrepreneurs decided to sell their excess beads. They made about $15. You can also see how the van was parked on a slope in front of the camper. There wasn’t much space for extra parking.
Loudred helping do maintenance for the basement.
Uh Oh, water in the basement is not a good sight.
The blue water lines are leaking above the batteries and next to the whole house surge protector. Definitely not a good place for water.
Tight space to work on plumbing.
Preparing all the tools for working with Pex type 2 plumbing in the camper. Again notice the van parked on the slope.
Basement space where the plumbing needs to be worked on.
The rest of the family hanging out inside in the dark because it was better to have the power off while working in the basement.
Practice crimping for the first time.
Spent a lot of time working on his back because there was more space. The headlamp was very helpful.
Reaching and working amongst all the wires and hoses, etc.
Crimping new water hose connections in a very tight spot.
One last connection to go. On the right is the whole house surge – 120V.
Finished replacing the blue tubes. They are now redirected away from the batteries and surge some.
Very tired after such a big job. So thankful that it was a lot of work and very inconvenient, but so blessed we randomly found it before there was any water or electrical damage. Had most of the tools because of the toilet work. And the store closed about 10 minutes after PsyDoug got the parts needed.
The Blue Angels flew over our campground almost every day for their practices.
There were several different formations that the Blue Angels flew over our campground almost every day.
Fresh, homemade Key Lime Pie (even though Key Limes are no longer grown in Florida).
PsyDoug’s turn to supervise the kids in the swimming pool.
Lucario with braces for the second (and should be final) time!
Leaving Florida and going back through Alabama.
So many birds on our travel day.
Lots of fog. This is a 7 mile bridge over water and we should be able to see Mobile, AL on the other side. The dense fog made it a little disconcerting to drive over.
The trucks view of Welcome to Mississippi
Van view of Welcome to Mississippi. Wait, that’s not Momo! We had gotten separated at a red light several miles back in the heavy rain and were still trying to catch up to the camper, which at this point is just one minute ahead of us.
